what is electrostatic force ?

The force of attraction or the force of repulsion between charged objects is known asElectrostatic force.It can be between Like or unlike charges. Like charges repel each other and unlike charges attract. Eg. A glass rod rubbed with a piece of silk brought close to a suspended glass rod rubbed with silk repels the latter.
