Around the glomerulus are layers of filters which ensure that only certain substances are filtered out of the blood, these include: glucose, water, sodium (Na+) etc. All of the glucose and other important substances are reabsorbed later on down the nephron, so all that is left is water which leaves the kidney down the ureter and is stored in the bladder untill you urinate.
