what is extreme weather?

Dear student,
Extreme weather is a particular type of weather that is far beyond the usual weather condition. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, extreme weather is that weathering condition which is rare in that particular area. As an example, if we observe 25-30℃ monthly temperature in the polar region, it will be extreme weather conditions for that area. It is because in the polar region average temperature is less than 10℃ so 25-30℃ will be rare in that area and will be considered as an extreme heatwave. This extreme weather condition can be dependent not only on temperature but also on snow, storm, rain, flood, and drought also.
