What is eye of the cyclone

Dear Student.

At the centre of the storm is a calm, cloudless area called the eye. It is commonly circular in shape. The diameter of the eye varies from 30km - 65km. The pressure in the eye is also less, compared to the atmospheric pressure outside the storm. No rains are found here and the winds are fairly light. The strongest winds (normally 150-250 km/h) and heaviest rains are formed in the thick clouds around the eye.

Regards..
