Plasma is the liquid part of blood excluding blood cells.

Plasma serves as a transport system delivering various materials to and from cells. It helps many substances to move freely throughout the body. It consists of water in which many substances are dissolved including plasma proteins, salts, food substances, hormones, digested and waste excretory products. In the plasma, floats the RBC, WBC and blood platelets.

there are three components of blood haemoglobin, lymph and plasma. Lymph is a colourless fluid containing WBC's which bathes the tissues. Plasma is a colourless fluid which contains flat globules and proteins. No we cannot call plasma as blood. If there would not have been plasma blood wouldn't have flowed so vigorously and we cannot call plasma as blood due to the unpresence of haemoglobin which contains the main thing in it Oxygen.
