what is genetic and forensic engineering

Dear student,
Genetic engineering: It is a branch of biotechnology which involves the process of introduction of foreign genetic material either DNA or RNA into the genome of host and thus producing a new phenotype. It alters the genetic constitution of an organism by either removing a particular segment or DNA or by introducing a specific DNA.It includes the following major steps:
1)Formation of a recombinant DNA.
2)Cloning of the desired gene.
3)Transferring the desired gene into the host genome.
Forensic engineering: It is the application of the art and science of various engineering principles which play an important role in dispute resolution. It basically involves the use of reverse engineering to find out the reason for the failure of a working of a particular structure, material or compounds. These then can be used as an evidence in court if some cases involve the criminal issues, property damages etc.
