A variation in genes is called genetic variation;
i.e.ur genetic material (DNA) is changed;
sometimes it is used to cure genetic disease like AIDS, CANCER,etc..These are called genetic diseases bcz this diseases are caused due to changes in chromotien threads(simply DNA), So to cure this disease genetic engineering is done.
Now u might have under stand the concepts involving genes.The same is in the case of genetic variation.
DEFINITION OF VARIATION:

GENETIC VARIATION:
it is same as normal variation but changes take place in genes.
