Glomerular filtration is a process of ultrafiltration because it involves the filtration of minute particles like water, solutes (glucose, amino acids) etc through the fine semipermeable membrane of the glomerulus while retaining the colloidal and large particles like blood cells and proteins by the action of high pressure.
