What is gram atomic mass?

Gram atomic mass is the mass in grams of one mole of atoms in a mono atomic chemical element.

1 mole = atoms or molecules (Avogadro’s number) will equal the molecular mass expressed in grams.

For example:

1mole of hydrogen = 1 gram (gram atomic mass)

1 mole of water  = 18 grams (gram atomic mass)
