The main aim of Great Leap Forward movement was to attain rapid growth by transforming an economy from agrarian to industrialised economy. It aim to encourage farmers to cultivate land collectively rather than individually, in order to reap large scale production benefit. Due to failure of agricultural policies this system failed. Thereafter The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution was introduced by Mao. It aimed to enforce socialism and eradicate capitalism in China. Under this system the professionals and students were forced to learn and work from within country.
Under the Magnanimous SEZ policy, the aim was to attract foreign investment by setting up industries in special economic zone and providing internationally competitive environment for export.
