Homogenous mixture : Homogenous mixtures have the uniform appearance,composition and properties throughout. The individual parts of the mixture are not easily identifiable. They are also many times referred to as solutions. Eg. sugar solution, salt solution, air, etc.
Heterogenous mixture : Heterogenous mixtures donot have uniform composition, appearance and properties throughout. It consist of visibly different substances or phases. The three phases are solid, liquid and gases. Eg. sand in water, oil in water, air with clouds, etc.
