what is humoral immunity ??????

B cells release antibodies into the blood plasma, tissue fluid and lymph. As the antibodies are released into fluids and the attack on microorganisms takes place in the fluid, this type of immunity is described as humoral ('humor' means fluid). The antibodies of B cells attack bacteria and some viruses.

Humoral immunity is when the body responds to pathogen by primarily using antibodies.
Cell mediated immunity is when the body is responding to the pathogen by increasing the activity of phagocytes.
