what is lateral  inversion  ???                  please answer as soon as possible

In an image formed by mirror, the right side of object appears left and left appears as right. This is known as lateral inversion.

Lateral inversion in a plane (flat) mirror means the apparent reversal of left and right in the mirror image compared with the object. Lateral means "sideways".

However, the mirror image is really a reversal of the the object in the direction perpendicular to the mirror's surface (more correctly called the direction "normal" to the mirror plane). In a plane mirror, each point on the image is as far behind the mirror plane as the corresponding point on the object is in front. That's all there is to it in terms of the physics, the "geometrical optics". However, we usually notice a left-right reversal in the image. We need to consider the "psychology of perception" to explain that.

Lateral inversion is the effect produced by a plane mirror in reversing images from left to right. As we observe our image on a plane mirror, we can see that our left side is at the right side of the image and our right side is at the left side of the image. It is also known as perversion.

Hope it helps :)

when an image is tilted sideways, it is called lateral inversion ie. when in a mirror, our right appears left.
happens in a plane mirror.
a laterally inverted image is always erect.

Lateral inversion is a phenomena in which the objects at right are tend to left and the objects at the left are tends to be at right. Image in a plane mirror is laterally inverted so it is said that lateral inversion is normally caused in plane mirror.

The image in a plane mirror is upright, but right side of the object becomes left side of the image and vice -versa. This inversion of the left hand side of the object into the right hand side in the image and vice-versa is called lateral inversion. Image in a plane mirror is laterally inverted.

the interchange of left and right in an object formed by a plane mirror is called lateral inversion.it is an important propert of the plane mirror image.it is used in writing letters of ambulance

Well this is a very easy question well the term lateral inversion means whenever we see our image is plane mirror it will be reversed.
eg:- stand near your plane mirror raise your left hand and in the plane mirror the image will raise its right hand well this is the lateral inversion. PEACE UP
