What is meaning of Bengal and what is difference between Bengal and west Bengal I am confused i need handwritten explanation in a sheet of paper only as i am weak in it need handwritten explanation in a paper i need difference between East Bengal and west Bengal plz

Dear Student,
Bengal refers to the unified and undivided region of East Bengal (Now Bangladesh) and West Bengal. This was before the division of East and West Bengal. East Bengal was supposed to be a part of the then Pakistan. 
West Bengal refers to the State of India.
Since the Western part of Bengal was unified with the Indian Union post independence it came to be known as West Bengal.
