What is meant by a 'driving force' and 'opposing force' in a reversible process ?

Driving force is the one which is applied to shift the equilibrium towards the most favourable side and the force which is applied to oppose the above said condition.
Ex.,
N2 + 3 H2 <----> 2 NH3 + Energy
If heat energy is reduced the driving force is the one which shifts towards the ammonia side. The opposing force is the one which shits towards the reverse side, that is on increasing the temperature the equilibrium shifts towards the backside.
