What is meant by charge independent character of strong nuclear force?

Dear Student, Charge independent character means strong nuclear forces are charge independent. The force between two neutrons or between a neutron and a proton or between two protons separated by the same distance are almost identical. These are short range forces while force between two charges are long range. Regards
