What is meant by detection of modulated carrier wave? Explain briefly steps for detection?

It means receiving a wave(carrier form) by an antenna and converting it into the original message signal.

Done by first receiving the wave, then amplifying it... Then it goes through the IF stage which changes it into a wave of single axis and then detecting it ie: removing the carrier wave and amplifying it again
