What is meant by homogeneous layer ?

 Homogeneous layer means a separate distinction of two different surfaces.

For ex.- When we mix oil and water and keep them undisturbed for sometime then they get separate and form a homogeneous mixture with a separate distinction of layer between the two liquids this layer is homogeneous layer
