A revolutionary government is the one whose main principle or belief is sovereignty, rule of law, and representative democracy. A revolutionary government mostly represents the will of its constituents. In France women were not given equal status as men especially when it came for political matters. Women were passive citizens i.e they didn't have any rights to contest the elections . The women of France fought for their rights.
In the above paragraph , the revolutionary government has contributed in improving the lives of female citizens by creating schools and making education mandatory for all girls. Other changes or revolutions that the government brought were that the women were no longer forced to marry anyone against their will. Marriage was made a contract under civil law .Divorce was made legal for both men and women. Women were also given freedom to choose their careers like getting training for jobs or run small businesses of their own.
