WHAT IS MEANT BY SECONDARY SCHIZOCOELOM ???

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query:
During embryonic development, the embryo gets divided into three layers ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm, which form all the organs of the body. The body cavity or the coelom is the space enclosed by the mesoderm where the internal organs are suspended.  When the coelom is formed by the splitting of  middle embryonic layer called mesoderm, the coelom so formed is called schizocoelom.  It is a type of true coelom and is also known as secondary coleom or secondary schizocoelom.  It is found in the animals belonging to the phyla Annelida, Mollusca and Arthropoda.

Note: The pseudocoelom is termed as primary coelom while true coelom is termed as secondary coelom.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about secondary schizocoelom
