the IUCN (international union for conservation of nature and natural resources ) publishes a catalouge which lists the species that are rare and under the threat of extinction . it is known as red data book .some of the species listed here are bengal tiger , sea turtle etc.
if u mean biosphere then it is a narrow zone of contact between the atmosphere , hydrosphere and lithosphere but if u mean biosphere reserves , then it means an a specified land area in which land can be used for various purposes or an area of land or water protected by law to support the conservation of ecosystems .
