What is meant by USSR? socialism in Europe and Russian revolution.

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, popularly known as USSR was created after the socialist revolution in Russia. The USSR was established in the year 1922 which includes Russia and 14 other socialist republics. Russia was considered as the leader of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. this was a strong union which had great control over the world politics during a long period from 1922 until 1991 when it was finally disintegrated into smaller units. Eastern European countries formed allegiance with USSR and established themselves as socialist bloc.
