what is NADPH.....???????

what's its function....?????

NADPH stands for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate is a coenzyme used in anabolic reactions, such as lipid and nucleic acid synthesis, which require NADPH as a reducing agent.

NADPH is necessary for stage two of photosynthesis, the Calvin Cycle, to occur. During that cycle, NADPH reduces carbohydrate molecules into carbon-carbon bonds until they form two 3-carbon sugar phosphate molecules. NADPH is a reduced form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate. It is a final product of the light reactions of photosynthesis.

it is a form of energy like ATP

other examples of energy giving substances r ADP, NADP and AMP

NADPH is reduced Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate ( bcoz Hudrgen combines with NADP and reduces it to NADPH).

During photolysis of water in the chloroplasts H+ and OH- ions are released, the released H+ ions are made available to NADP...... This NADPH is used in the dark phase or biosynthetic phase of photosynthesis.

When the dark reacton occur in the stroma, CO2 is reduced to C6H12O6 by the HYDROGEN in NADPH ( and by utilising the chemi9cal energy stored in ATP). Basically, it is a carrier od Energy ( H+ ion).....

I wrote how much I know, Hope this helps......
