What is non-metal

Dear student
Non-metals are the elements which can accept electrons. They have several properties like:
1. They exist in all the three physical states.
2. They are not shiny and have dull lustre.
3. They are neither malleable nor ductile.
4. They are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
5. The solid non-metals have low melting and boiling points.
6. The solid non-metals are soft and can be broken easily.
