what is paralall venetation?

Venation: Venation found in leaves is of two types-

(i) Reticulate and (ii)Parallel

When the veins in the leaf lamina divide repeatedly forming a networkk,It is called reticulate venation.Dicotyledous plants like mango ,peepal show this type of venation.It is important to note that plants with tap roots will always have leaves with reticulate venation.

When the veins run parallel to each other from the base to the tip of the laminao,it is called parallel venation.It can be easily observed in the leaves of a rose plant,monocotyledous plants like banana , wheat palms etc.Plants with fibrous roots will always have leaves with parallel venation.
