Parallax is the difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight. 

Parallax error is the error occurred while taking the reading from a meter having scale and pointer. If the observer’s eye and the pointer are not in a line perpendicular to the plane of the scale, parallax error occurs.
