What is polarity of charge in Physics ?

Electric charge is an intrinsic property of elementary particles of matter which gives rise to electric force between various objects.Now we know that there can be two types of charges ie a positive charge and a negative charge .The positive and negative which we use to differentiate the two charges is called the polarity. for ex a positive charge is said to have a positive polarity and a negative charge is said to have a negative polarity .
