what is pollination. please explain

Pollination is the process of transferring pollen from the anther to the stigma of the flower. It is of two types: self and cross-pollination.
Self-pollination is the process of transferring pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of the same flower.
Cross-pollination is the process of transferring pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower present on the same or different plant.
