What is prepositional phrase ???

Dear student,

A prepositional phrase is a modifier that modifies a noun or a verb. It typically consists of a preposition, an object  and also sometimes words that modify the object.

Eg: The woman in the red dress is my sister. Here ' in the red dress' is a prepositional phrase. Here it modifies the noun woman.
