What is pressure caused by ?

Pressire is the force acting perpendicular to the surface per unit area, over which the entire force is distributed.
In case of solid, it exert pressure only at the base due to its own weight. and the pressure exerted by a solid of mass m, can be written as
whereas A is cross sectional area and g is the gravitational acceleration.
Now,
in case of fluid, the rapid motion and random collision of the particles with the wall of the container causes pressure. That's why in case of fluid, pressure is exerted in all possible direction.
