What is pythagarous thearom ?

In a right triangle square of hypotenous is equal to sum of squar of other two sides

The Pythagoras theorem is always related to right angle. Its formula is :

1) (Hypotenuse)2 = (side one)2 + (side two)2

  • -1

Pythagoras was great mathematician who invented this theorem which is called by his name. It is used in an right angle triangle. the sum of square of other two sides = the square of hypotenuse. its formulae is (c2=a2+b2) right, thumbs up please THANKS

sorry (c2=a2+b2) ,now OK.

Pythagoras theorem is a method of finding the sides of a right angled triangle.The formula is a2 + b2 = c2
In which, a is the base, b is the height , and c is the hypotenuse.

Pythagorean Theorem is one of the most fundamental theorems in mathematics and it defines the relationship between the three sides of a right angled triangle. You are already aware of the definition and properties of a right angled triangle. It is the triangle with one of its angles as a right angle, that is, 90 degrees. The side that is opposite to the 90 degree angle is known as the hypotenuse. The other two sides that are adjacent to the right angle are called legs of the triangle.

The theorem, also known as the Pythagorean theorem, states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the lengths of other two sides of the right-angled triangle. Or, the sum of the squares of the two legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of its hypotenuse.

ITS A METHOD USED TO FIND THE SIDES OF RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE
  • 0
dear student,
phythagoras theorem used in right angle states that
Hypotenuse2=base2 + altitude2
base2=hypotenuse2-altitude2
altitude2=hypotenuse

basically,in a triangle,
the hypotenuse is the longer side of a triangle or the side opposite of a right angle in a triangle .
base and altitude join and form legs .they form a right angle.
as shown here, square(a2)means the double of it .
for eg.:22=2 times 2=4
12=1
32=9 etc..
hope you cleared your doubt
thanks
regards.

the theorem was invented by a Greek philosopher Pythagorashe named the theorem after him the formula of that theorem is that when a b square is equal to AC square + bc square is equal to the hypotenuse is equal to the sides plus sides and in return the sun the sides plus side will should be equal to the hypotenuse

The theorem states that if the square of the length of the longest side of a triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides, then the triangle is a right triangle.........
(HYPOTNUSE)^2 = (BASE)^2 + (PERPENDICULAR)^2
