What is radius, diameter, chord, segment etc. pls tell me all parts of a circle with their definations.

They are the common parts of a circle. You can take reference form the given figure.

CIRCUMFERENCE - It can be reffered as to be the perimeter or the outline or the border of a circle.

CENTER - The centre point of a circle is known as the center of a circle.

RADIUS - A line segment joining the center and the circumference of a circle is known as the radius.

CHORD - A line segment that joins two different parts of the circumference is known as the chord.

DIAMETER - A line segment joining to parts of the circumference, and aslo that passes through the center of the circle is known  as the diameter of the circle. It can be considered as the width of the circle. It is essentially a chord.

Hope it helps,

Dear Student!

Radius: The line segment joining the centre and any point on the circumference of the circle is called the radius of the circle. In the given figure, OA is the radius of the circle.

Diameter: A chord passing through the centre of the circle is known as its diameter.

In the given figure, CD is the diameter of the circle.

Chord: A line segment joining any two points on a circle is called a chord of a circle.

In the given figure, EF is the chord of the circle.

Segment of a circle: A chord divides region enclosed by the circle into two parts. Each part is called the segment of the circle. The segment containing the minor arc is called the minor segment whereas the segment containing the major arc is called the major segment.

In the given figure, the shaded region gives the minor segment of the circle.

Cheers!
