What is Recombinant DNA?How does enzyme endonuclease help its formation? (For Marks=3)

Recombinant DNA is the DNA in which one or more segments or genes have been inserted, either manually or with the help of laboratory manipulation, from the different molecule or from any other part of the same molecule, resulting in the formation of new genetic combination.
The enzyme endonuclease used is the restriction endonuclease which cuts the DNA strand at a specific sequence called restriction site and resulting in the formation of the Recombinant DNA.

Hope it helps.....
