1. What is role of Zncl2 in dry cell

Dry-cell batteries consist of  a zinc chloride paste which allow a dry-cell to conduct the electricity and provide electrical power to various substances. It is  also used to absorb moisture and inhibit corrosion in a cell to provide long life. The low production cost of dry-cell batteries makes them useful. It is used between the space of anode and cathode electrodes in dry cell along with moist paste of ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) where ZnCl2 acts as an electrolyte. Secondly, ZnCl2 provides zinc and chloride ions to complete the complex reaction occurring in the cell and maintain electron neutrality continuity of cell.
