 RHYTHM  METHOD OR PERIODIC METHOD :- A WEEK BEFORE AND A WEEK  AFTER MENSES IS CONSIDERED THE SAFE PERIOD FOR SEXUAL INTERCOURSE. THIS METHOD MAY REDUCE THE CHANCES OF PREGNANCY BY 80%.THIS METHOD IS ALSO CALLED NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING.

in this method couples abstain from coitus from 10 to 17 day of mensturation during which ovulation could be expected.

 .safe(rhythm method), normally ovulation takes at 14 th day menstrual cycle. fertility period when fertilization can occur is upto 24 hrs after ovulation avoding sex during fertility period  will naturally prevent conception. it is however ,always better to avoid sex from day 10-17 day of menstrual cycle
