what is sarcomere, sarcoplasm

sarcomere is the basic unit of muscle.Muscle cells are composed of long tubular myofibrils which are composed of repeating sarcomeres.Sarcomeres are composed of long fibrous proteins which slide past each other when muscles contract or relax.

Sarcoplasm is the cytoplasm of muscle cell.

Sracomeres are muscle muscles. More efficiently,it is the part between two z-lines

Each muscle fibre i.e.. muscle cell has an outer plasma membrane which is called sarcolemma. sarcoplasm is the inner region of sarcolemma of muscle fibre as cytoplasm in plasma membrane of cell.

sarcoplasm is having parallely arranged filaments called myofibrils which further is having two bands namely light(I) bands & dark(A)bands. The middle line of I band is called Z-line,& distance between two Z-lines is called sarcomere which is the region of muscle contraction....

sarcomere is made up of 2 half i-bands and an a-band of myofibre

it is the basic functional unit of contraction

sarcoplasm is the cytoplasm of the sarcomere

hope it helps

Generally the plasma membrane of muscle cells is termed as sarcomere and the cytoplasm of these cells is termed as sarcoplasm.

The part of myofibril between the two successive z-lines is called sarcomere.
Muscle fibre is covered by a plasma membrane called sarcolemma which encloses sarcoplasm which contains many nuclei
