what is 'self regulating interactive system'??

Self-regulating interactive system refers to capacity of living organisms resulting from some internal adaptive mechanism that  helps it to adjust itself, so as to respond effectively to stimuli. In other words a living organisms interacts or senses the changes in the environment and produces a proper stimulus for these changes. Self-regulation increases the degree that living organisms behavior is flexible and able to adapt in the environment.
