What is space wave propagation?

Space Wave propagation is a type of communication method which involves transmission and reception of electromagnetic signals between two station located on earth. The signals are transmitted into space and reflect back from orbiting satellites, located high up in the outer reaches of the atmosphere. The reflected signal is received at a receiving station on earth.
