Stomata are the tiny pores present on the surface of leaves. These are surrounded by two bean shaped cells called guard cells.

stomatas are pore like structures/small openings present on the suface of leaves.the help in the exchanging of gases.they take in carbondioxide and give out oxygen. they are guarded by guard cells which control theie opening and closing.unlike lenticles they are open during the day.
