WHAT IS SUFFRAGE MOVEMENT?WHAT DID IT ACCOMPLISH?

The term suffrage means womens struggle for getting right to vote . YES the suffrage movement accomplished during the first world war beacause all the mens were called at the front and women were callde to do their work. So after so much struggle american womens got right to vote in 1920 an later in 1928 womens on UK claim this right.

the right to vote was not given to woman in many countries of the world until the beginning of the twentieth century. it was during the first world war that a woman's suffrage movement was launched. suffrage means the right to vote in political elections. the woman who campaigned for this right are known as suffragettes.
the women in the USA got right to vote in 1920, while woman in britain got the right to vote in 1928 and in India, this right to vote was given to women along with men soon after independence
