what is the advantage and disadvantage of fixed pulley and movable pulley respectively???

Fixed/Non movable Pulley - It is the simplest type of pulley in which the wheel is stationary and unmoving, although it does turn as the rope slides on it. In this type of pulley more effort is required as the amount of applied force is transferred to the

 object, so it has an mechanical advantage of one. Here the displacement of load is quite easy.

Movable Pulley - It is a type of pulley in which the wheel does not remain fixed and moves along with the attached load. Moveable pulley offer an additional advantage as unlike fixed pulley a lot less effort is required as the forces is multiplied at the other end. This makes the job easier. However a drawback in this case is that the load has to be displaced manually. This type of pulley is quite similar to a second class lever (  the load is between the fulcrum and the effort ).
