What is the cause of poverty

Dear Student,

Please find below the answer to your question

The reasons for poverty are:
  1. Lesser economic growth under the colonial rules of British administration. They discouraged the textile industries.
  2. This led to lesser job opportunities and hence in low-income growths.
  3. Population increase only aggravated this situation.
  4. Unequal pay
  5. Improper distribution of the resources and land that are available by the government.
  6. Debts that were incurred by the poor due to the ceremonies, festivals, and other social obligations only added to these causes.
Hope this answered your question. Look forward to hearing from you again!
