what is the consequence if two sound waves arrive at the ear in a time interval less than 0.1 s?

The sensation of a sound exists in the human brain for about of 0.1 seconds. This means that. if it takes of one- tenth a second for two sounds reach our ears, then we  hear them as separate sound.
if two sound waves arrive at the ear in a time interval less than 0.1 s, then we will not be able to distinguish the sound and can not hear them separately.
