What is the criteria for declaring forests as reserved or protected...& why are some forests unclassesed??? Pl ans fast SA1

The criteria for declaring a forest as reserved or protected is that it should contain some animal species which are endangered. To protect that animal, the entire ecosystem that is required to support that animal needs to be preserved. Hence, forests containing that animal is protected.

Forests which do not contain any such animal species are not declared protected. Such forests are open for economic use.
