what is the difference between 2O and O2

Hi Aishwarrya,
The 2O represents two nascent oxygen atoms (only O represents nascent oxygen) while O2 represents the molecular form of oxygen in which two atoms of oxygen is combined.
Hope it is clear to you.
@ ns Naina,
It’s good to see that you have tried to answer the question. But there is slight mistake. In case of O2 it should be two oxygen atoms and not two oxygen molecules.
We really appreciate your contribution to this forum. Keep posting!
Cheers!
