What is the difference between adult literacy and the youth literacy?

Youth literacy rate is the total number of people in the age group of 15-24 who can both read and write and can understand simple statements that are based on the daily life.
Adult literacy rate is concerned about the people aged 15 years and older, who can both read and write and can solve arithmetic problems, they can make their own decision's and have capability to solve their problems.
