What is the difference between angular diameter and linear diameter?

Angular diameter:- suppose we are seeing an object from a distance D . The actual diameter of the object is d=2r .than the visual diameter of the object (in terms of angle) from that observation point is known as angular diameter (∂).
The relation between angular and linear diameter can be easily obtained by simple trigonometry.
Tan (∂/2)=d/2D
Where:
∂=angular diameter
D=distance of observer from object
d= linear diameter of object.

ANGULAR DIAMETER :

the apparent diameter of a planet or other celestial object measured by the angle which it subtends at the point of observation.

LINEARDIAMETER :

A linear diameter dimension is a group design object. It allows for the dimensioning of an arc or circle with respect to the diameter, rather than the radius. The dimension can be placed either internally or externally.
