what is the difference between black soil and clayey soil

pls.............. answer fast

The characteristics of Black Soil are:-

  1. They are made up of lava flows
  2. They are well known for their capacity to hold moisture.
  3. They are rich in soil nutrients such as calcium carbonate, magnesium, potash and lime.
  4. they are poor in phosphoric contents.
  5. They develop deep cracks during hot weather.
  6. These soils are sticky when wet and difficult to work on unless tilled immediately after the first shower

Black soil is rich in nutrients favourable for growth of cotton.

Clay is a naturally occurring aluminium silicate composed primarily of fine-grained minerals. Claydeposits are mostly composed of clay minerals, a subtype of phyllosilicate minerals, which impartplasticity and harden when fired or dried; they also may contain variable amounts of water trapped in the mineral structure by polar attractionOrganic materials which do not impart plasticity may also be a part of clay deposits.

Black soils, also called regur or black-cotton soil, are spread mostly across the Deccan Lava Plateau, the Malwa Plateau, and interior Gujarat, where there is both moderate rainfall and underlying basaltic rock. Because of their high clay content, black soils develop wide cracks during the dry season, but their iron-rich granular structure makes them resistant to wind and water erosion. They are also highly moisture-retentive, thus responding well to irrigation. ....
