what is the difference between change in origin and change in scale

Dear student
By change of origin means something added or subtracted to/from original data and by change of scale means something multiply or divide to original data set.
Suppose one writes an exam in which it was declared by the examination-conducting authority that for every wrong answer -1 marks, for every unanswered question 0 marks and for every correctly answered question +1 mark would be awarded.
1) But after the exam the authorities decided against it and awarded +1 for every wrong answer, +2 for every unanswered question and +3 for every correctly answered question. What they did here was a change of origin.
2) If the authorities would have decided to award -2 for every wrong answer, a 0 for every unanswered question and +2 for every correctly answered question then it would have been a change of scale.
