What is the difference between Charcol and coal?

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

Charcoal is a form of carbon. It is the residue that is obtained after burning wood partially. It is the result of incomplete combustion of wood.

A fossilized form of carbon is called Coal. It is found in the form of sedimentary rock and is black-brown in colour. Coal is highly combustible and is used as fuel.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
